While the past cannot be changed, it is not forgotten and is a part of us. My emotional struggles are a part of me and I share those struggles in my work, not for sympathy, but so that others can understand why I am who I am and that they are not alone in this world. My subject matter is emotional war, whether it relates to anxiety, depression, the feeling of being overwhelmed, heartbreak, and disappointment in myself and in others. My work showcases that powering through adversity and surviving can be beautiful, as it transpires to everyone and is essential for growth.
